One of the things that I look forward to the most during fall is Oktoberfest. Jeff's family loves Germany---Jeff's dad served his mission there, his sister lived there for a year, and his parent's visit Germany every year. Jeff has been multiple times and we want to go together someday....until then, we like to enjoy a little taste of Germany at Oktoberfest. We eat German food....listen to music....shop at the booths...get rained on....let the kids jump in the bounce houses...it's always a lot of fun.
Jeff introduced me to German food which I was a little hesitant to try, but of course once I did, I realized how good it really is. If you haven't tried German food, Siegfried's Deli is a great place to start.
Below is our group eating our yummy food--brats, spaetzle, and German chocolate cake that's too die for...the one difference between our table and everyone else's table...no big mugs of beer....
They play fun German music and have a dance area. The chicken dance is played often for the kids (and those who've had a little too much to drink)....
Jaxon and Caden....loved the clown who made them dogs with leashes out of balloons....
It was a great evening and I went home looking forward to all the other fall activities to come...
